Did another week pass already… i feel like i got nothing done haha.
I added a new plugin so i can make a custom title screen. I brainstormed some ideas for a title screen that changes based on what part of the game youre in but im already falling behind on cgs I just dont know if im going to have the time. I feel like its not a make or break thing but Id just really feel like itd be cool to open the game again and the title screen reflect what happened in game.
I sketched out what I think is the rest of the cgs for the 3 routes and some other cgs i felt added to the plot so I guess Ill add them into the game and start the grind of actually finishing them over the course of the next week.
I spent a whole day trying to figure out if there was a way to redraw my game maps without them looking lazy but also not make them look like the default rpgmaker tiles but pixel art is not my passion and no matter what I did I couldnt get it to look right. I just wanted to smooth out some of the rounded corners of some of the maps but I cant figure out how to do it efficiently.
Its really hard to juggle the UI and CG and Writing and Programming and sound design. I took a 4 month break working on my game to goof off and do other things and now i feel like im playing catch up. The areas im putting less effort into are definitely UI and Maps. The only thing i have any confidence on is the art. Feeling pretty mid on my writing and programming and sound design. Idk im having “looked at this project too long and hate it” syndrome
